CASE STUDY: SEARCH ENGINE POSITIONS
Client: Schantz Home Improvement Company

Situation: was not previously in any search engines.
Objective: page 1 positioning, ranking higher than competitor Duracraft of Georgia
Research: We determined that 'vinyl siding Atlanta' was the most frequently used relevant keyword phrase across major search engines and directories. (Update 2008- this is no longer their top keyword, so we let it slip, though they still remain on page one Google returns 3 years later)
Process: We optimized the web site through a variety of html changes, plus carefully chosen copy for the submission process.
Results: 12 days later these were rankings by top search engines for non-paid listings using 'vinyl siding Atlanta' keyword search:
AOL page 1, position 3
Alta Vista page 1, position 1
Google - not yet listed
IWon page 1, position 3
MSN page 1, position 3
Overture (goto) page 1, position Yahoo page 1, position 2
